The Sport Ireland High Performance Unit works in partnership with NGBs to support the delivery of their high performance programmes
The High Performance Unit provides funding to NGBs who have the capacity to support Irish athletes and teams in reaching finals and achieving medals at European Championships, World Championships, Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The primary functions of the HP Unit include policy development, administration and monitoring of funding, quadrennial system reviews, and relationship development with key stakeholders.
