Nestled in the foothills of Keeper Hill, this superb, very enjoyable walk follows the old Mass Path and quiet roads passing many sites of local history and heritage interest with excellent vistas of the surrounding countryside and fine views of the Silevermines Mountains sloping down to the Mulcair River,.

Lovely walk mixed between a fenced off grass pathway between fields, steps down to the Mulkear River at the end of the grass path and then onto quiet tarmac roads. The walk is well maintained and suitable for after Sunday dinner walk.

Such a lovely trail. We walked it easily with a four year old and there were many interesting sights to see on the way. Farmland, animals, a running stream, old abandoned buildings, countryside, quaint backroads, little brooks, blackberries by the roadside, the old (still working) water pump, famine antiquities and lots more. Lots of signage and no way of getting lost. A lot of work has gone in to maintaining this trail.
