A great trail. Beautiful views of the mountains and lough from the old railway line. Full of wildlife. Well sign posted throughout. A really nice walk. A bit mucky at the Omeath end where the gravel appears to have thinned out.

This is truly an amazing Irish trail, I have done many trails in different parts of Ireland and globally and for me and my family with two toddlers and a dog this ticks all the boxes. It has a gravel pathway mostly fenced and benches with mountains on both sides hugging Carlingford Lough all the way and throw in the history of it being a former railway line. I'm not doing it justice with this short paragraph but I would say it's a must visit for any walking enthusiast...enjoy
