Sport Ireland, in collaboration with the Local Sports Partnerships (LSPs) of Kildare, Wicklow, Limerick, and Fingal, is thrilled to announce the HER Outdoors Week Festivals 2024.

These festivals, scheduled across four counties, offer an incredible opportunity for women and girls to engage in a variety of outdoor activities, celebrating empowerment and connection with the natural world.

HER Outdoors Week is dedicated to encouraging more females to embrace the benefits of being outdoors.

Sport Ireland, Director of Participation Louise Burke, said “These festivals not only celebrate the return of HER Outdoors Week but also reinforce our commitment to making outdoor sports accessible and enjoyable for all women and girls.

“Each location will feature activities tailored to encourage exploration and adventure, helping women and girls to try new activities in the outdoors.”

HER Outdoors Week initiative aims to raise awareness of the numerous opportunities available for women and girls to get involved in outdoor physical activities.

The week is all about creating more spaces for all women and girls to escape into nature, try something new, and experience the joy of the outdoors.

For such a small island, Ireland boasts an abundance of outdoor activities, and these should be celebrated to the fullest!
