TENNIS Bowtell Wins Junior ITF Girls Singles Crown

A world ranked international tennis tournament was hosted by Donnybrook Lawn Tennis Club last week.

Ireland’s Amy Bowtell, a member of the Irish Junior Squad funded under the Irish Sports Council’s International Carding Scheme, claimed her first ITF title by winning the Girls Singles defeating Britain’s Emilia Banos-Gregorians 6-2 6-3 in the Final. Amy defeated her Irish compatriot Lynsey McCullough in the Semi-Final.

Another Irish success was achieved by Ciaran Fitzgerald, winning the Boys Doubles with his partner Britain’s Daniel Cochrane.
