Very nice walk. Very easy and very well signposted.
The walk can be done counterclockwise, as shown on the map displayed at the starting point
Google maps shows you the right starting point which is very easy to reach by car, the road is wide.
Interests of the walk: alternates between country road, paths through fields in the middle of the animals and paths along the sea.

This trail is a real pleasure as you ramble along roads, country lanes and coastal paths while taking in spectacular scenery. The anti clockwise route is the best way to go as the real treat is from the quay at An Caislean to the quay 2km North. This path offers great views of Trá an Dóilín and the 12 Bens. It gives an added bonus of some gentle lapping of the water as it fills the rock pools along the Conemara coastline.

Excellent walk early June 2019.

Started at old church on shoreline. Good parking. Great view across Greatsman bay to Coral strand / Carraroe and distant toward Maamturk / 12 Bens. A Galway Hooker came into view "on cue". Going inland missed turn at school but picked up next road converting into green road using water reservoir tower as landmark. Great views at every turn over to Aran Clare and Galway bay. Definitely walk is a hidden gem well worthwhile exploring.

First off, thank you to the people who put this trail together. I was so surprised to find the trail map in the parking lot just before bridge to Gorumna island. I really wanted to get a feel for the area. This is such a remarkable area. I did it in the rain..... so I will do it again on my next visit to Ireland. Enjoyed it even in rain

Nice easy walk, mostly on little rural roads (most like long driveways.) and then down by the coast. The signs are not yelllow on black, however. They are blue on white, and if you go in a 'clockwise' direction, you have to keep an eye out for them as they are oriented to be seen while walking the 'anticlockwise' direction.

Nice loop with a beautiful view on the Aran Islands and on the Connemara hills in the background. Need to do it clockwise else you may miss the signs, this is what we did, so took us longer.
