Stunning 😍

Very well signed walk, beautiful wooden bridge and short wooden pathway protecting marshy habitat. Hiking boots advised though terrain is not difficult. The lakes are in a stunning setting. On our second visit we witnessed An Bean Píobaire, the wind blowing the water of a waterfall behind the lakes, looks likes smoke, hence The Woman Smoking the ClayPipe. Trailhead easy to locate past Hanora’s Cottage & ample car parking space. Bring a snack and enjoy the tranquility of the lakeside with only the the baa-ing of sheep 🐑 to interrupt the silence.

Walked on a glorious September day. Stunning views. Very well signed. Fish jumping in the lake, bird of prey fishing. Recommend hiking boots ankle support over stony climbs. Beautiful timber bridge over stream, timber pathway over rushes to protect habitat. Highly recommend.
