Hi, I did the blue walk yday 5/08/19 I wanted to report that the North Cork Lane was overgrown and impossible to navigate. This was a disappointment as I generally enjoyed the trail. (I did figure out how to get back without needing to completely retrace my steps!) I would have liked to do the red trail but I realised that the end was a main road away from my car in Oulart village and quite an additional hike. Circular routes are best otherwise you need two cars!

This is a wonderful trail giving local and visiter alike the opportunity to walk in our forefathers footsteps along laneways and highways of yesteryear past beautiful stone monuments to leaders of 1798, deserted villages, hedge schools and national schools, destroyed churches, historic wells and many more as you wander up Bolaboy Hill and to Lower Oulart until you eventually find yourself gazing at the beautiful Tulach aTsolais monument atop the renowned Oulart Hill.
