Very badly marked out and the directions are wrong. The views were amazing.

Nice walk, but the directions tell you to look for a lane on your left to start the walk, when in fact the lane is on the right. This error needs to be rectified to eliminate confusion. We had to go back to the pub for this information.

This really is one of the top walking routes in the Cooley peninsula. With outstanding views over Dundalk Bay and Slieve Foye. Some lovely hidden glens and beautiful Scots Pine and decidious forests.

A good, relatively quick trail that is entirely off the public road. It takes you through a forest ascent with plenty of clearings for great views over North Louth and South Armagh and Down. The trail leaves the forest gives way to open mountain for about 200m which can get quite boggy after sustained wet weather. It will remain passable though so at worst it might slow you down. Once you crest the mountain you can enjoy uninterrupted views of Dundalk Bay as you descend back down toward the forest and your starting point. Pop into the famous Fitzpatricks Bar afterward for a well earned pint.
