I walked this trail with my family and it was very nice.the route along the lake was magnificient and it was a great day,we had a little snack on the viewing point .the only bad point is we had to download the map on site as the yellow arrows are non-existant, luckily we had an internet connection!

This is a really lovely route which I discovered in June 2013. The first half, if you take it anti-clockwise, comprises of wooded country lanes and shoreline tracks. The return section involves some steep climbing along a narrow country lane but you are rewarded, at the top, with a panoramic view across the lake. This lane eventually meets the roadway but it's downhill all the way to the starting point, at the church. The signage along the yellow route was excellent and underfoot conditions are good throughout. I met a few cars along the route so you need to be vigilant. When I completed this trek, on a Bank Holiday Monday, I didn't meet a single walker! So it's a gem just waiting to be discovered and well worth the effort.

This route is perfectly suitable for cycling with route completion taking approximately 1 hour.
