I am sorry to say it but this is one of the worst trails I have ever been on. I did this trail a few weeks back with friends and it was extremely disappointing especially as some of the other reviewers had given it 5 stars. The first 1-2 kilometres starts off fine. The next 4-5 kilometres are very badly signposted, the trail is littered with rubbish in many parts, the view of the Galtees is practically non existent. The last 1-2 kilometres are the most enjoyable part, the terrain is diverse and there is a beautiful view from Rock an Thorabh. This trail needs some major work done on it. I would not recommend it to anyone who enjoys walking or hiking.

I have done this walk on a few occasions, nice, pleasant walk & not too taxing. Have done Woodland Loop first to make walk a little bit longer. Never had problem with signage until November 21st. 2014. There are two junctions before the Millennium Cross without any arrows. Some clearing work has been done & I'm thinking signs were not put back up. Take a left at both unmarked junctions & you will come across arrows again.

30th July, 2013. This is a lovely walk with great views across the Tipperary plains. The loop is very well signposted though some of the signs were placed after the junctions - so be careful! Be prepared for a number of ascents and a reasonable level of fitness is required.

This is a great trail. running parallel to the Galty's. You get a great vista of the range - even better than if you were actually on them. Some of the trails in Aherlow are forested and views can be blocked by trees. The Millennium Stone and the Dolmen loop give the best views.

I did this trail last week, and found it very enjoyable.
It was very peaceful and found some great views of the surrounding area.
Well worth a visit. I will return soon.
