While doping is more of a problem in some sports than others it is important to always keep the issue on the agenda however small the risk in your sport.  A number of sports are not included in the testing programme of the Irish Anti-Doping Programme but must still ensure that anti-doping is addressed within your organisation e.g. where you have athletes competing overseas at events where testing may take place. In other sports there is no perceived risk but it is still important that you make it clear to your members that doping is unethical and unacceptable and will never be a tolerated behavior. It may be that your anti-doping message is part of a greater ethics message.

NGB's play a key role in promoting the clean sport message to their members and ensuring that all members including athletes, athlete support personnel and volunteers are educated in relation to anti-doping policies and procedures.
