WATERPOLO Six Nations Tournament in Limerick

12 Mar 2008

The National 50 metre Swimming Pool in the University of Limerick will host the 2nd annual Six Nations Waterpolo Tournament over St Patrick’s weekend (14-16 March).

Portugal had to withdraw but fortunately Great Britain has accepted an invitation to take part in their place. The other nations participating are Ireland, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden and Switzerland.

Ireland National Coach, Brian Murphy is hoping to build on his side’s 3rd place in last year’s Six Nations in Geneva, which was followed by Ireland qualifying for the European B Championships. Brian hopes to have all Ireland’s leading players available.

The matches will start at 13.00 on Friday 14th and finish at 12.00 on Sunday 16th.

The Six Nations Tournament has received support from the Irish Sports Council.
