This month on Sports Nationwide:

Boxing:

We profile St. Ibars / St. Josephs Amateur Boxing Club in Wexford Town and meet Irish Olympic Boxing Team Coach Billy Walsh in his home club together with family members who are also involved in the club.

Sport for Older People:

The Irish Sports Council has invested 2.5 million euro since 2000 in "Go for Life" - a sports and activity programme for older people. We travel to a Go for Life leaders' workshop in County Wicklow to find out more about this worthwhile programme.

Cycling:

Cycling legend Sean Kelly and Olympian David O'Loughlin officially opened the Western Lakes BMX track in Ballinrobe Co. Mayo in December. The aim of the Western Lakes club is to get young people trying out cycling as a sport by teaching them how to BMX in a safe environment. It is also hoped that with proper coaching some of these young people might qualify for the Olympic Games in 2012 or 2016 as BMX is now a recognised Olympic discipline.

Sky Diving:

John McHugh is an Aeronautical student in the University of Limerick. We talk to John about the unique nine month work experience opportunity he has in a Sky Diving School in Florida.
