HORSE SPORT Ireland Retains Super League Status

Ireland's senior show jumping team produced a strong performance to finish fourth in the Samsung Super League Final in Barcelona last weekend. This performance gained Ireland sufficient points to finish fifth in the Super League rankings ensuring qualification for the 2009 League of the world's top nations.

Cian O'Connor riding "Rancorado" spearheaded the Irish performance with a first round clear and just four faults in the second round. He was ably supported by his team mates, debutant Thomas Ryan on "Urleven van de Helle", Cameron Hanley on "Southwind VDL" and Capt David O Brien on "Mo chroي"
