HORSE SPORT Horse Sport Ireland nominate Three Day Olympic Squad

Horse Sport Ireland has announced the five riders it will nominate to the Olympic Council of Ireland for the Irish Olympic Three Day Event team. The announcement was made yesterday from Barbury Castle in the UK where the Irish squad was competing over the weekend.

The team is:

• Capt Geoff Curran, Kilkishen, Balladeer Alfred
• Niall Griffin, Lorgaine
• Louise Lyons, Watership Down
• Austin O'Connor, Hobby Du Mee
• Patricia Ryan, Fernhill Clover Mist

Official Reserve- Sacha Pemble

Other Reserves on Standby- Sam Watson and Jayne Doherty

Capt. Curran will decide on his horse nearer the Games.
