TRIATHALON Podium finish for Emma Davis in Australia
Emma Davis made a solid start to 2008 with a third place in the Gold Coast Elite Triathlon. The event is used by many as a warm-up for the World Cup series. World Cup points count towards Olympic qualification. Emma's third place qualifies her for the Mooloolaba World Cup Triathlon at the end of March.
The Triathlon took place in scorching heat (35 degrees). Emma was second after the swim and maintained this position in the 40km bike race. Unfortunately, she was passed by Australian, Felicity Abram at the 4km stage of the 10km road race and eventually finished in third place behind Felicity and the winner Emma Moffat, also from Australia.
Emma Davis is supported by the Council under the 2008 International Carding Scheme.
