Newlands Rockmount Cahir Park and City of Derry crowned Revive Active Regional Champions

The Revive Active Regional Fourball Finals did not disappoint when they took place on Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th September in four different venues. Glorious sunshine graced Golf Clubs all over Ireland for the Regional Finals and was reflected in the great golf played on the day. Revive Active Representative, Joanne Clancy said "Revive Active are delighted to sponsor the ILGU Ladies Fourball Tournament. The Regional Finals proved to be exciting and well done to all teams involved. We look forward to the National Finals on 1st and 2nd October."

Region 1

A sunny Seapoint Golf Club welcomed Region 1 finalists, Newlands and Carton House as they battled for the title. The Dublin team came out stronger on the day and won the top three matches, never allowing Carton House a look in. They will represent Regional 1 at the All-Ireland finals at Old Conna Golf Club.

Region 2

After a weekend of torrential rain, Kilkeel Golf Club was in immaculate condition for the Region 2 Final between Belvoir Park and Rockmount. Defending Regional Champions, Rockmount had the edge on Belvoir Park, as they recorded wins of 4&3 in the second match and 6&5 in the fourth match. Belvoir responded by winning the first match 3&1. A halved hole on the 17th green provided Rockmount with their third match, resulting in overall victory.

Region 3

Two Tipperary teams, Thurles and Cahir Park played the Region 3 final at Castletroy Golf Club. It was a close affair, with players giving their all in the hope of bringing home the title and progressing to the All-Ireland finals. Thurles won the top match and the third match but with wins for 2014 All-Ireland Champions, Cahir Park in the second, fourth and fifth matches, they will reach the All-Ireland finals once again.

Region 4

The matches in Region 4 were extremely tight, with four matches coming down to the challenging par 5 18th and one progressing down the 19th, before being called in.  It looked positive for Tuam as they won the top match 2up but City of Derry won the second, third and fifth matches. They will now make their way to Old Conna Golf Club for the National Final.

The Revive Active National Semi-Final and Final will be held at Old Conna Golf Club on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd October.

With more than 41,000 active female golfers, the newly sponsored Revive Active Ladies Fourball is the leading inter-club fourball event for lady club golfers in Ireland.
