Sport Ireland Statement

In response to public comment made by Michael O'Reilly, Sport Ireland can confirm that he was charged on August 4th with the presence of a Prohibited Substance. 

A mandatory provisional suspension, imposed at that time under the Irish Anti Doping Rules, remains in place.

Sport Ireland will not comment further on this case until due legal process has been completed.
