ILGU - Strong performance from Forbes at English U16
Emma Forbes (Royal Portrush) continued her consistent form on day 2 of the English U16 Open Amateur Stroke Play. She added a second day 74 to her opening 73. Forbes is the only Irish contender who made the cut as Milltown’s Georgia Carr narrowly missed out on final day action. Carr cared rounds of 78 and 79 to miss the cut by 1. Anna Foster (Elm Park), Sara Byrne (Douglas), Kate Lanigan (Hermitage) and Lauren Walsh (Castlewarden) were further down the field.
Forbes will compete in the final stroke play round today alongside England’s Toi-Louise Naylor. Lily May Humphreys (England) leads the field on -6.
