Rowing - Three wins for Irish crews at 2016 Home International Regatta
Ireland crews had three wins at the Home International Regatta at Cardiff Bay in Wales on Saturday 23rd July. Both the men's and women's senior fours were victorious, as well as the women's senior eight. The all-Portora senior men’s four consisted of Ryan Ballantine, Cormac McLaughlin, Lloyd Seaman and Barney Rix, while the women's crew was made up of three UCC rowers, Aifric Keogh, Caoimhe Joyce Hearne and Aoife Feeley, as well as Roisin Maguire of QUBLBC.
The winning women's senior eight crew included Gill Crowe (DULBC), Hazel O’Neill (DULBC), Aifric Keogh (UCC RC), Caoimhe Joyce Hearne (UCC RC), Dineka Maguire (Bann RC), Katie Shirlow (Bann RC), Lauren McHugh (DULBC), Sarah Higgins (DULBC) and their cox Gemma Canham (QUBLBC).
The overall standings after the Regatta saw Ireland's senior men place third overall with 25 points, while the senior women were also third but shared the position with Wales on 23 points. The Irish junior men and women were both second overall with 16 and 19 points respectfully, with the junior men's team also having to share the spot with Scotland who also finished with 16 points.
England were the outstanding winners in all but one category, with Scotland beating them to the top of the senior women's table.

Senior Men: 1 England 32 pts, 2 Scotland 30 pts, 3 Ireland 25 pts, 4 Wales 20 pts.
Junior Men: 1 England 25 pts, 2 Ireland 16 pts; Scotland 16 pts, 4 Wales 10.
Senior Women: 1 Scotland 29 pts, 2 England 27 pts, 3 Ireland 23 pts; 4 Wales 23 pts.
Junior Women: 1 England 23, 2 Ireland 19, 3 Scotland 18, 4 Wales 10.
Women's Senior Eight: 1 Ireland.
Women's Senior Four – 1 Ireland.
Men's Senior Four - 1 Ireland.
