Murtagh Withdrawn From Ireland Squad

04 May 2015

Tim Murtagh has been withdrawn from the Ireland squad to play England in the Royal London One-Day International at Malahide on Friday (10:45am).

Murtagh sustained a hamstring tear in his left leg while playing for his county Middlesex in their ongoing County Championship match against Durham at Lord's.

The 33 year-old will undergo a MRI scan tomorrow (TUESDAY) to assess the extent of the injury.

Cricket Ireland haven't opted not to replace Murtagh, as they had named 14 players in their original squad for the game.
