National Senior Elite Final Championships Results

London 2012 Olympians Adam Nolan and Darren O'Neill collected their fourth and fifth Elite titles on a night of split decisions at the National Stadium tonight.

Nolan showed his class to beat Beijing Olympic John Joe Joyce and O'Neill, who has won four belts at middleweight, beat towering Athlone heavyweight Ken Okungbowa on a split decision.

Dean Walsh and Michael O'Reilly, the defending light-welter and middleweight champions, also won this evening, Walsh shading European 20111 gold medallist Ray Moylette on a split and O'Reilly beating Dundalk southpaw Stephen Broadhurst.

Myles Casey also won on a split decision this evening to become the first St Francis BC (Limerick) boxer to win an Elite title since Jimmy Moore beat two-time Olympic bronze medallist Paddy Barnes in the 2006 final.

Brendan Irvine and Kurt Walker claimed the first two titles on offer at the expense of Hugh Myers and Sean Higginson, while Sean McComb beat George Bates in a repeat of the 2013 final, McComb earning the fourth split verdict of the night.

Roy Sheahan collected his fourth title and denied the St Francis BC a double in the light-heavy class and Dean Gardiner beat Constantin Popovicu in the super-heavyweight class.

Dean Walsh collected the Best Boxer Award.
