National Elite Championships

Thirteen semi-finals will be decided at the National Elite Championships at Dublin's National Stadium this evening.

Former European elite champion Ray Moylette meets Ross Hickey at light-welterweight in a repeat of the 2013 final which Hickey won.

Dean Walsh, the defending champion, is in against Patrick Mongan in the corresponding semi-final.

London 2012 Olympian Adam Nolan is also in action this evening.

The Bray BC southpaw faces Bernard Roe in the final last-four bout of this evening's session at welterweight.

Kristina O'Hara and Elaine Harrison get proceedings underway in the women's flyweight class.

Eight of the male elite titles are vacant at this year's Championships. Dean Walsh and Michael O'Reilly are the defending light-welterweight and middleweight champions.

The remaining semi-finals will be decided on Saturday night.

Meanwhile, London 2012 bronze medalists Paddy Barnes and Michael Conlan will line out for Italia Thunder versus the Baku Fires in the World Series of Boxing in Baku, Azerbaijan, on Saturday.
