Evans Misses Out In $120,000 Grand Prix Gold Bitburger Final

Scott Evans contributes significantly to his World ranking and Olympic qualification by reaching the final of the BitBurger Open. After an impressive performance all week at the Bitburger Open in Germany, Irish No.1 Scott Evans sadly lost out on the men's Single's final to Taiwanese player and World No.8 Tien Chen Chou in two sets, 17-21 and 10-21.

Scott now returns to Dublin for next weekend's European Mixed Team Championship qualifying rounds. Team Ireland will take on Norway, Slovakia and Bulgaria for a place in the Championships. If successful it will be the first time Ireland has made it to the championships which will take place in Belgium next February.
