Hockey: U21 Men Ireland v Scotland

21 Jul 2014

Ireland's U21 Men won out 3-1 in a tense game in Portugal against Scotland securing Ireland promotion back up to Division A and a Gold medal for good measure.

The match remained scoreless after the first half but four second half goals were produced to ensure the game was an exciting spectacle for the tense spectators from both sides. Ireland opened the scoring with James Lorimer off a set piece before Scotland levelled thanks to Andrew Malcolms' handywork. But two goals from Ireland in the final two minutes put the game beyond the Scots reach.

A huge congratulations to all the team, coaching staff, parents, and support staff on such a fantastic tournament.
