Magees In To Quarter Final In Greece

In the Women singles Chloe Magee has booked a place into the quarter finals with a win over Zoi Aleli of Greece followed by a last 16 win over Ellinor Widh of Sweden. Tomorrow Magee will face a much tougher task as she comes up against number 5 seed Mette Poulsen of Denmark.

In the Mixed doubles Chloe partnered up with her Brother Sam to take the number one seeding for the event. In their opening round they received a bye to the last 16 where they faced Amar Awad and Sanaa Mahmoud of Syria. In the opening set the Irish duo were tested as they took the first set 21-19, but in the second game the Irish quickly picked up their speed as they saw out the match winning 21-10. Tomorrow the players will face the Polish pairing of Pawel Pietryja and Aneta Wojtkowska.

The Irish will be the first on court tomorrow as they play their mixed doubles quarter final at 08:00 in the morning.
