Silver medalist at International Canoe Federation Junior World Championships
Canoeing Ireland's Liam Jegou has placed second in Mens C1 at the ICF Slalom Junior World Championships in Penrith, Australia.
Having qualified for the finals in sixth place, Jegou went on to take the Silver medal in this mornings race, just losing out to German Florian Breuer. The 2014 Championship is Jegous' third time to make the junior final in this event, and represents his first time on the podium. The Junior World Championships is the start of this seasons' international racing series and Jegou will look to keep up his fine performance as goes on to compete in the Junior World Cup.
