Aertv To Live Stream Ireland V Sri Lanka Series
Aertv in conjunction with Cricket Ireland will be live streaming the RSA Insurance ODI Series between Ireland and Sri Lanka next month.
The news that the Irish online TV provider will be providing coverage of the series, which takes place at Clontarf on Tuesday May 6 and Thursday May 8 is a great boost to Irish fans worldwide.
The Aertv broadcast has been supported by the ICC Development Programme, and their production will feature four live action cameras, with broadcast quality high definition set-up, incorporating full replay functionality and commentary.
The 2013 RSA Series between Ireland and Pakistan at the same venue proved incredibly successful, being viewed by nearly 300,000 people in 141 countries.
Cricket Ireland Chief Executive Warren Deutrom welcomed the broadcast initiative saying: "We're delighted to be working with Aertv who demonstrated their professionalism working with us last year during the Leinster round of the Interprovincial Twenty20 tournament. We've seen with previous broadcasts just how much of an appetite there is for cricket coverage, and it's fantastic for Irish and cricket supporters worldwide to be able to view these matches online.
"It's another important step in securing the long term legacy for international cricket in Ireland as we look to take the game here to a higher level and a wider audience."
Philippe Brodeur, Director of Dublin-based Aertv said: "The Aertv production team are really excited to be showcasing Irish cricket's biggest event this summer to a worldwide audience. Cricket Ireland really understand the value that live streaming offers their sport, fans, sponsors and players. Aertv have lots of experience working with Irish sports organisations as we provide regular live streaming of events. Our goal is to give the fans what they want, when they want it, on whatever device that suits them. Given the event is on during office hours, I'm sure cricket fans will enjoy 'on the go' live coverage at work or wherever they are !"
The matches will be available to view on Cricket Ireland's YouTube channel - CricketIrelandTV, www.cricketireland.ie and www.aertv.ie
Ticket sales for both matches remain very strong and Cricket Ireland are confident that capacity crowds will attend Clontarf on both days. Cricket Ireland is encouraging fans to purchase their tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.
Fans can purchase tickets for the matches online through www.cricketireland.ie or at Ticket Master outlets nationwide.
