Philosophy & Culture Driving Excellence
A gathering of high performance expertise organised by the Institute of Sport will take place on 24-25 April. The conference will connect over 100 high performance support professionals from coaching, leadership, sports science and medicine.
The event will take place in the Irish Management Institute and signals the first of four large-scale people development events to be delivered by the Institute of Sport in 2014. This forms part of a 3-year people development strategy led by the Institute of Sport.
Gary Keegan, Director, Institute of Sport explained: "We are delighted to bring such a significant athlete support network to Ireland. This event is an opportunity to further enhance the development of our support provider community and drive towards excellence, through collaboration and knowledge sharing."
The focus of the conference is 'philosophy and culture driving excellence', which mirrors the Institute's own people development initiative, the 'Pursuit of Excellence Programme'.
Keynote speakers include Chris Spice (Performance Director, GB Swimming), Daithي س Murchْ (Principal Teacher, Researcher and International Innovation Consultant);Liam Harbison (CEO Paralympics Ireland), Gary Keegan (Director, Irish Institute of Sport),and Kevin Kilty, (Chef de Mission, Olympic Council of Ireland).
