Donegal Sports Partnership - Sport Can Conference - 29th June 2013

Donegal Sports Partnership are pleased to invite you to attend our 'Sport Can' Conference, scheduled to take place on Saturday 29th June 2013.

The theme of the Conference will centre on the 'Value of Sport to society' through promoting inclusion, embracing diversity and facilitating cross-community and cross-border engagement.

The details of the conference are as follows;

• Date: Saturday 29th June 2013
• Time: 11am - 3.30pm (Lunch Buffet served 12.30pm)
• Venue: Mount Errigal Hotel, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal

The Keynote speaker will be Barry Mc Guigan (Former Irish Professional Boxer, WBA Featherweight Champion & Sky Sports Correspondent). Other presenters will include Ciaran Ward (London 2012 Irish Olympic Judo Coach) & Dr Fergus Heffernan (Neuro-Psychologist & Psychotherapist). Tommy Martin, Sports Reporter & Presenter with TV3, will MC the event.


Positive Coaching Scotland and Sports Coach UK will deliver Mid-Conference workshops, detailing the importance of Coach Education. The workshops will provide coaches with Innovative approaches to coaching, and present practical examples in which clubs can create a positive environment for young people in sport.
