Connacht dominate All Ireland Inter League Finals

13 May 2013

Connacht, the smallest of the three provinces in terms of numbers, took four of the six titles on offer at the Badminton Ireland Inter-Clubs finals held in the Baldoyle and Terenure badminton centres.

A strong squad from Oranmore won the F division, beating University of Limerick, and also won the H division. Close neighbours Galway LTC took the G grade, beating St Mary's Dunmanway.

Closest match came in the D division, where An Caislean Nua from Clondalkin beat Galway LTC 4-3 but lost out on the total of matches won when it came to the overall result. The tournament was played on a round robin basis, with each team playing two ties and the total number of matches overall counting for victory.
