BADMINTON Irish Teams announced for Senior European Championships

Badminton Ireland has announced the Senior Irish Men’s and Women’s teams for the European Badminton Championships which will be held in Almere, Holland from 12th- 17th February 2008.

The European Championships used be known as the Thomas and Uber Cup preliminaries. The World Team Championships are known as the Thomas and Uber Cup. The top three men’s and women’s teams in these European Championships will qualify for the final stages of the Thomas and Uber Cup.

Ireland’s teams are spearheaded by recently crowned Irish singles champions Scott Evans and Chloe Magee and include two new caps in Sinead Chambers and Matthew Gleave.

Uber Cup: Huang Bing, Sinead Chambers, Chloe Magee, Erin Keery and Ruth Kilkenny
