Ireland Closes Gap on Britain in Tattersalls Team Event

After this morning's show jumping phase in the George Mernagh Memorial CIC3* at Tattersalls, Team Ireland have closed the gap on Great Britain in the team competition for the Dubarry Boyne trophy.


Ireland gained ground following clear rounds from Camilla Speirs and Mark Kyle plus a four fault round from Liz Power. This leaves Ireland on a total team score of 145.8 before this afternoon's decisive cross country phase.


Team GB added eight penalties to their total when Ollie Townend had two fences down. Ruth Edge and Polly Stockton went clear to leave team GB on a total score of 141.2


Today's cross country phase takes place at 2pm at the Meath venue.
