HSI National Anti-Doping Seminars Announced

Horse Sport Ireland will be implementing a National Anti-Doping Programme across all equestrian affiliates, including show jumping, eventing and dressage, from April 1st 2012.

As part of the roll-out of the programme, Horse Sport Ireland is running four information evenings for riders, owners, grooms and any other interested parties.

The information evenings will deal with the following topics:

• The new HSI anti-doping rules
• The prohibited substances list
• Procedures at events/shows
• International experience in doping control

Speakers will include Team Ireland Equestrian Vets and the Irish Equine Centre.

The dates for the meetings are:

• Monday, 26th March - Talbot Hotel, Portlaoise Road, Co. Carlow
• Tuesday, 27th March - Armagh City Hotel, Friary Road, Co. Armagh
• Wednesday, 28th March - Ard Ri House Hotel, Milltown Road, Tuam, Co. Galway
• Thursday, 29th March - Charleville Park Hotel, Charleville, Co. Cork
