Rowing Ireland CEO to step down in February

Martin Corcoran, Chief Executive Officer of Rowing Ireland has announced his resignation as CEO and will be stepping down from his position in February.


Mr Corcoran stated that "after serving the organisation as chief executive for over seven years, during a time of significant growth and achievement, it is now time to move on to fresh challenges".


Anthony Dooley, President of Rowing Ireland, paid tribute to the success with which Martin Corcoran had led the organisation over the past seven years. "Martin Corcoran was held in high standing throughout the sport and his major achievements included the significant growth in participation at all levels over the past few years and overseeing the development of the ultra-modern National Rowing Centre in Cork.


He thanked Mr. Corcoran for his support and for his work on behalf of the board and wished him well for the future.Mr. Frank Coghlan, Secretary of Rowing Ireland will take up the position of acting CEO while a permanent replacement is being sought.
