ATHLETICS Victory for Maria McCambridge at Rلs na hEireann

The 39th Rلs na hEireann International Cross Country event organised by Dunleer AC took place before a large attendance in Termonfeckin last Sunday.

From an Irish point of view the Senior Women’s International was the highlight with a first and second for Maria McCambridge and Rosemary Ryan respectively. The Senior Men’s race was won by Jussi Utrainen from Finland, with two Polish racers filling the next two places.. The first Irish runner home was Mark Carroll in 7th place.

The host club had something to cheer about when Tomلs Cotter came home first in the Junior Men’s race. Tomلs has recently been selected for the AAI Junior Squad.
