Seamus 'Shay' McDonald RIP

It is with great sadness we learn of the passing of Shay McDonald.

For years Shay was the heart and soul of what was formerly I.A.G.A before becoming Irish Gymnastics in 2000 (now known as Gymnastics Ireland) serving many years as national administrator.

A former member of the Olympic Council of Ireland and father of 1996 Olympic gymnast Barry, Shay tirelessly worked to promote the Sport and was a great friend and mentor to many of us and will be sadly missed.

Our thoughts and wishes are with loving wife Lucy, son Barry, daughters Suzanne & Leonie and the rest of the family.
