Moonraker Forestry Rally Event Preview (Motorsport)

07 Apr 2011

Irish Rally Driver and FIA WRC Academy participant Craig Breen rounds off a hectic three week period this weekend as he takes on the Moonraker Forestry Rally. The Waterford driver has been in action over the last two weekend's with the FIA WRC Academy getting under way on World Rally Portugal, this was followed last Saturday with Breen making the trip from the Algarve to Wales for round two of the British Rally Championship and on Sunday next Craig returns home to take part in the third round of the Valvoline National Forestry Championship.

"It's been non stop over the last month, I travelled to Portugal a week before the WRC event for testing and I haven't stopped since. Portugal was a big learning experience. Then we were straight back to the UK for the Bulldog. The Moonraker wasn't initially on our schedule but its close proximity to my home in Waterford makes it easy to take in. My priority and 100% attention still remains on the WRC Academy but there's nothing like competition to keep you focused. I'll take on the stages in Co. Cork this weekend, there's a couple of weeks break from competing then until the Pirelli International at the end of the month but it's all prep work for the next Academy round in Sardinia early in May."

After having some time to recuperate over the last few days Craig has a two day session with Pro Performance booked before the weekend and over the following few weeks will be concentrating on being in top shape for his next outing at WRC level.
