IRISH SPORTS COUNCIL World Refugee Day Awards

The World Refugee Day Awards are a new initiative being run by a number of refugee support agencies in Ireland and one category of particular interest to the Irish sporting community is the 'Sports & Leisure' category. Across Ireland, refugees and asylum-seekers are more and more becoming involved in Irish sport, and many individuals around the country from the community level up to the national level are involved with and working with some of the new arrivals in Ireland. The closing date for nominations is the 20th of May 2005.
