PARTICIPATION European Gold Medallist Hand Cyclist to take part in the An Post Tour de Burren

European Hand Cycling Gold Medallist, Mark Rohan, will take part in this year’s An Post Tour de Burren on the 19th June. Rohan, from Athlone, won gold for Ireland at the European Road Race Circuit in Al Ain in March. The champion will participate in the 60km Spin.

He will joined on the 10km spin by hand – cycling 2nd time participant Jack Caldwell and  newcomer Gary Donnell who is taking part in the cycle to raise monies for the IWA and IASBEH West.

As well as the hand-cyclists there will also be 2 tandems taking part from the Brothers of Charity in Kilrush. On top of this there will be up to 6 disability cyclists taking part at various distances with the family and friends in what should be an enjoyable day for all involved.

The An Post Tour de Burren is part of the An Post Cycle Series. It is a leisure cycle with three routes of 10km, 60km and 160km. Legend Sean Kelly will be cycling on the day.
