ROWING Galway Rowing Club win Senior Eights and Senior Fours race at Grand League regatta in Cork

Galway Rowing Club won both the Senior Eights and the Senior Fours race at the Skibbereen regatta, the first of Rowing Irelands Grand League regattas held at the National Rowing Centre in Cork today.

Skibbereen Rowing Club also put in a fine performance winning three races, the senior mens quads, the double sculls and the womens double sculls.

In other races, Neptune RC won the intermediate eights and St. Josephs, Galway won the junior mens eights while UCD took the womens fours race.

The second regatta in a six programme series is the Queens regatta which takes place next Saturday week, 24th April at Castlewellan, County Down.
