David Joyce has been named as super-heavyweight for tonight's first leg meeting with Italy at the National Stadium in Dublin.

Both nations meet again on Sunday night at the Donegal Celtic Club in Belfast.

Joyce, from the Moate club in Westmeath, will meet Olympic and double World super heavyweight champion Roberto Cammerelle in the last of twelve bouts at the home of Irish boxing tonight.

Meantime, 2008 European Senior Championships bronze medalist Eamon O'Kane has moved up from middleweight to light heavyweight for Sunday's second leg with Italy in Belfast.

The Italians have named Cammerelle, World lightweight champion and AIBA World boxer of the year Domenico Valentino and 2007 World heavyweight champion Clemente Russo in their squad.

Valentino will meet Irish senior champion Eric Donovan and Tipperary heavyweight Con Sheehan, the current EU and Irish champion, faces Russo.

Irish senior champions Gary Molloy, John Joe Nevin, Tyrone McCullagh, Donovan, Ray Moylette, John Joe Joyce, Darren O'Neill, Sheehan, and former champs Philip Sutcliffe, Jimmy Moore and Joyce will also be in action against the Italians this evening.

O'Neill is also the current European Union middleweight champion and Moylette won gold at the 2008 AIBA World Youth Championships in Mexico.

Boxing begins at 7.30pm tonight.
