ISA National Conference on track for this weekend (6th & 7th March)
ISA National Conference moves inland to Osprey Hotel, Naas, Co Kildare


The annual ISA National Conference will take place this weekend (6th & 7th March) in the Osprey Hotel, Naas, Co Kildare. Delegates represent ISA affiliated organisations from around the country, who will attend an intensive programme of presentations, seminars and workshops over the two days.

Topics on the programme include: Local Authority Bye Laws, How to organise an Open Regatta, Managing Risk in your Organisation, Adventure Sailing - Making it Happen, Coaching for competitions, Procedures on the Water for Judges & Umpires, Understanding the Olympic Programme and Working with Children.

ISA Chief Executive Harry Hermon outlined the purpose behind the National Conference:
"It is a key means for the ISA to assist affiliated organisations prepare for the upcoming season. There are 30 sessions planned but many other meetings will take place on an informal basis between the various groups attending."

As delegates are attending from around the country the National Conference is an invaluable opportunity to network and share experiences with peers. The highlight of the weekend will be the ISA Awards Dinner, which will take place on Saturday evening. A number of awards will be presented including the ISA Volunteer of the Year, during the course of the evening.

Hermon continued: "The weekend not only includes relevant topics for our stakeholders but we are also holding the ISA and SailFleet Annual General Meetings on Saturday, while Sunday will see the Race Management Conference takes place. A packed weekend for all involved, delegates and organisers."
