GOLF TIGT Recipient Qualifies for European Tour Card
| Simon Thornton, a Team Ireland Golf Trust recipient, finished tied 26 in the final stage of the European Tour qualifying school to achieve a European Tour Card for the very first time. Simon has been supported by the Trust for four years, having previously concentrated his efforts on the Europro Tour and Challenge Tour. | |

Also qualifying with a Top 30, was previous Golf Trust recipient Gary Murphy, who finished tied 16. Gary was supported by the Trust for a number of years. A special mention also goes to newly turned professional Niall Kearney, who fought valiantly to achieve a result of tied 46 on the last day. Niall will receive a Challenge Tour category for 2010 plus limited playing rights on the European Tour. |
