O'Neill, who boxes out of the Paulstown club in Kilkenny, was 21-0 up when the third man in the ring called a halt to proceedings 34 seconds into the frame.

It was a comprehensive victory for the 23 year old European Union champion and ex Kilkenny youth hurler, who forced Shilpakar into two standing counts in the first round.

Nevin, who forced Najafov into a standing count in the third, was in cruise control from the opening bell up and will meet Serbian, Nikola Magovac on Saturday.
