D&I Officers Information Day
In October of 2023 the Sport Ireland Ethics Unit held the first Diversity and Inclusion Information and Networking event. The purpose of the networking and information day was to provide an opportunity for those working/volunteering in the area of diversity and inclusion in sport to network with peers, share information and learnings regarding diversity and inclusion actions and initiatives, and to engage with Sport Ireland Ethics Team on their work in this area also.
Presentations were delivered from Sporting Pride, Active Disability Ireland and Sanctuary Runners on their respective work in the area of diversity and inclusion in sport. Along with NGB presentations on diversity and inclusion best practice delivered by Vision Sports, Basketball Ireland, GAA and Swim Ireland.
