Evaluation of Sport Ireland Active Cities

This report sets out an independent, process and outcomes evaluation of the Sport Ireland Active Cities Fund Year 1. Active Cities is an €800,000 investment by Sport Ireland through the Dormant Accounts Fund, delivered by eight Local Sports Partnerships across Ireland’s five cities: Dublin, Galway, Limerick, Waterford, and Cork. This evaluation process had a dual focus:

a) Formative Phase - develop a logic model, evaluation framework and data collection process for Active Cities and;

b) Process and Outcomes Evaluation - assess the extent to which the funded projects have achieved their intended outputs, outcomes and aims, and, what were the critical success factors or otherwise.

The information presented in this report was gathered during the period November 2020 and October 2021.
