“Improve your hiking skills”
This is a moderate walk aimed at hillwalkers who have some skills but want to improve or develop their skills in route planning, navigating using map and compass.
This will include working on contour interpretation and micro navigation and looking at using more navigation techniques in decision making.
The session will work at the level of participants and seek to develop sound navigation practice in the hills.
Meeting Point: Glendalough Visitors Centre Car Park @10am
Walk: We will leave the Glendalough Visitors Centre car park and walk one of the hills in the locality depending on the group on the day you will explore either Brockagh, Camaderry or Derrybawn.
