“Improve your hiking skills”
This is a moderate walk aimed at hillwalkers who have some skills but want to improve or develop their skills in route planning, navigating using map and compass.
This will include working on contour interpretation and micro navigation and looking at using more navigation techniques in decision making.
This session will work at the level of participants and seek to develop sound navigation practice in the hills.
Meeting Point: Parking Area, Old Military Road, Cloghoge, County Wicklow @10am
Walk: This hike will be around the Lugala and Knocknacloghogue area and will focus on features around Lugala and the river and will move up along the spur of Knocknacloghogue.
